Assam Government has launched Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension Scheme online application form. All the women who lost their husbands under the age of 45 years will get a lump sum of rupees 25,000/- from the Assam government under this scheme.
Under the scheme of the Assam Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension Scheme, the Assam government will also introduce a monthly pension of rupees 250/-. All widowed women can get this benefit up to the age of 60 years. After the age of 60 years, they will come under the Old age pension scheme. The Assam Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension Scheme is going to benefit 2.4 lakh widows all over the state.
